We had a report of 2 wall-mounted Mitsubishi Heavy units spitting out debris and also having very poor airflow. We found the barrel fan, drip tray, and internal casings heavily soiled with dirt and debris. Both systems require a thorough, full strip-down clean. Engineers attended the site, isolated the system, and stripped it down to its core. The barrel fan, drip tray, and unit housings were removed for cleaning. We took all the parts outside and flushed them clean with disinfectant cleaning products and wiped them clean. The barrel fan was blasted to get in between the fan blades, which are harder to reach. The coil and the internal housing behind the coil were both brushed down, then also sprayed with disinfectant and wiped down. Both units were then reconstructed, and the outer casings were sprayed and wiped down with disinfectant. Systems were then run up and air-offs tested.
Air Flow and performance have now significantly improved.
