ACRC LTD recently completed a stunning installation for a large retail showroom in Leicester. While ducted air conditioning units are often hidden discretely above suspended ceilings, this customer opted to keep the ductwork and indoor units completely on show to create a smart, modern industrial aesthetic.

Precision Engineering & Symmetrical Design
Because the system was left exposed, a neat and professional finish was paramount. Each unit and all corresponding ductwork were precision-mounted to the ceiling using channel and rod suspension. The pipework was securely fixed to cable trays for a clean look. Running down the centre of the showroom, the units and ductwork were positioned to be perfectly identical, with the end of each duct featuring stylish, down-blowing circular vents for optimal air distribution.

All external pipework followed the tray routing and connected seamlessly to the condenser units located on the side brick wall.

Quiet Operation & Smart Anti-Tamper Controls
Ducted air conditioning units are significantly quieter than typical split-type A/C units, making them perfect for retail environments where customer experience is key.

To give the staff full control over year-round heating and cooling, the local controller was installed directly behind the staff desk. This strategic placement prevents customers from tampering with the shop's temperature. The advanced controllers offer a wide range of functions, including weekly timers, auto modes, and restriction modes to maximize energy efficiency.
