When split type air conditioning units are installed, we need to have an outdoor unit for every indoor unit unless it is a VRV system which has multiple indoor units to one outdoor unit. There are many ways to position an outdoor unit. We can put them on rubber feet, mount them on cantilever arms, screw them down on tiles or even create a frame for them to sit on. Each site has its unique requirements and sometimes it even comes down to personal preference. On this installation you can see that we have mounted the outdoor units onto cantilever arms which are bolted into the brick wall. The benefit of having units on the wall is the fact that you can keep walkways clear below or keep the space beneath as storage. If the condensers are located in an area where cars frequently park you would be surprised to find out how often cars tend to bump into them this is where cages or barriers can be installed around them too. Keeping them at high level really helps stop people bumping into them and deter potential thieves.

Before any installation is carried out we agree both the indoor positioning and where the outdoor units will be situated. We usually choose a position that is either hidden or out of the way as best as possible. Call us today for a FREE quote and we can go through where your units would be positioned together and give you a rough idea of how much it would cost to install and run.
