Client had two very old chillers that had PCB board problems and local controller issues. The chiller PCB and controllers were obsolete and both units needed to be replaced for new. Our qualified chiller engineers attended site and decommissioned the old units. A crane was ordered to safely remove the old chillers and bring the new ones on to the roof. ACRC then disposed of the old chillers. We lifted the new x2 Airedale chiller units onto the roof and mounted them on flexi foot stands to secure them off the floor. Our qualified chiller engineers then replaced the external water pipes and connected them up to the new chiller and tested the water. Chiller was then commissioned and ran up and tested too.

A TREND engineer then attended site and wired in their control unit. The TREND system gives the customer remote access to how the chiller is running and the ability to change the set temperature of the rooms below. It also informs the client when the unit is in fault so they can call an engineer out to repair it promptly.

The chiller system was then added to the maintenance schedule to service the unit and the fan coil units below in the offices. This will consist of checking the refrigerant pressures, brushing down and disinfecting the coils, cleaning out all the filters, checking voltages and functionality of the actuators and cleaning the casings of each unit.
